There’s a few steps, the big points, which we are going to cover so you will understand exactly what the high-level entails.

1. Map out the steps – When we’re going to offload something, you get to map out the
steps. This is optional but there are advantages to it because it enables you to keep on track with the video and if you’re just starting out and you’re not used to doing this, then it might come handy for you.

2. Creating the training and giving context – Hit record and give context before the actual training. Context is the What, Why and When. You can also include in the video the definition of success. This is important as this is the quality we are looking for in this particular process or procedure.

3. Set the process to repeat and block in a time to inspect – A good time to do this is on a weekly workshop call or you can schedule a time. A 15 to 20-minute call everyday just to touch base and get them up to pick up the speed would be a great way to begin with.

4. Create the SOP as they action and approve it.

5. Store the SOP and Celebrate – This is positive reinforcement and what they deserve.

A great book to read on this is the Minute Manager by Ken Blanchard. I highly recommend this book. It’s really short, less than a hundred pages, and really easy to read. It’s a legendary book, so check it out.
