I wanted to share cheeky little 5-Step Framework that you can use to basically build a system and get it off your plate.

This came out with a conversation I had yesterday with one of our clients. Basically, we started working together last year and they had a ton of products that were not optimized. So, we sat down and built a system and it’s generating an extra 150K per month for them now because of that system we built.

It all really starts with just defining what it is. DEFINE what is actually inside of a system. What area of the business? It could be, for instance, listing optimisation. So, define what are the steps in it first.

The second step is going to be, to RECORD videos. You’re going to do it anyway, so just hit record and you got that archive of videos on how to do every single step.

The next thing is all about OFFLOADING it. Offload it to somebody else’s plate.

The next stage is AUTOMATE. It actually happens as a habit. It’s off your plate completely, it’s something that they take care of.

The final piece is to REFINE it. Set up a rhythm or a system where you can each and every week refine how you do that specific area of the business.

D.R.O.A.R: That’s the little framework you can use anytime you are overwhelmed with tasks on your plate. What you can do to get things off your plate unto somebody else’s.

I will just recap, DEFINE, RECORD (the videos), OFFLOAD, AUTOMATE and REFINE.

Good ways to REFINE is having weekly workshop rhythms where you basically collaborate with the team members involved in the area of the business and brainstorm ways to improve it. You take one action away and implement it to improve the processes.

If it works, then you update the SOP and your business is always improving in every area if you set it like that.
